French influence in America was a great help to all American people; they were able to love a people that had had never known such gentility from a foreign power; their help to the U.S. during the American Revolution is legendary. We examine the sense of tragedy the Cherokee felt upon losing their homelands, and succeed in coming to terms with it, as their descendants.
